Connect to WiFi
At the beginning of the 2013-14 school year, AMS became a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school. The goal of BYOD is to connect as many students as possible to a device, enhance learning and teaching, and increase student achievement.
In addition to school-supplied technology, students are allowed to use personal devices at AMS for classroom purposes. Students are expected to use the school WiFi for Internet access on their devices. Follow the links below to identify a type of device and how to connect it to the school WiFi:

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I have to connect to the school WiFi when I want to use the Internet on my device?
Students are required to use the school WiFi for Internet access at school. This allows for monitoring of appropriate student online activity while at school, which is a term students and parents agree to as part of the Acceptable Technology Use form signed at the beginning of the school year.
Will I run down my data if I use my device at school?
Students will not use their device's data when connected to the school WiFi.
If I use the school WiFi, will my device get hacked?
As long as mobile devices are used appropriately while connected to the school WiFi, there is very minimal risk students' devices or information will be in any danger.
I've read all the directions, but I still can't connect to the school WiFi. What should I do?
See Mr. Davis in the library if you have questions or problems.
